PSAP Examination

HI is now offering remote online-proctored exams via MonitorEDU as a safe, secure, and easy way to take the PSAP Certification Exam. MonitorEDU is an on-demand, live, online proctoring service that allows you to take your exam from the comfort of your office or home. There is no scheduling required, you need only follow the link provided with the acceptance of your application when you are ready to take the exam.

In order to use MonitorEDU, candidates will need the following:

Computer with Windows or Apple operating system
High-speed internet connection
Webcam (internal or external) AND a smartphone camera.
Government issued photo ID.

We encourage candidates to review MonitorEDU Proctoring 101 to familiarize yourself with what to expect on the day of the exam. We don’t recommend using a small laptop for the exam since it may be difficult to view the exam questions.

Day-of Tips

On the day of your scheduled exam, candidates will need to log-in to their HI account to access the certification exam. Please make sure you know your username and password for your HI account to avoid any delays on the day of the certification exam. A formula reference sheet is provided on the exam website. A scientific calculator and a whiteboard to write on are allowed. Scratch paper is not allowed.

Exam Results

Candidates have six months from the date of their eligibility notification. Candidates will receive their exam results immediately after the exam is submitted. Official results will be provided within two (2) weeks from the exam date. Candidates who successfully pass the exam and meet all the certification requirements will earn the PSAP credential and be listed on the HI website as a certified Pump Systems Assessment Professional.
