Pumping systems are essential to virtually every industry.  HI Members play an essential role in keeping the nations’ water, power, buildings, agricultural, medical and industrial processing systems fully functioning during the current COVID-19 crisis.  Following guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), etc., Members have remained operational.  While Members continue to prioritize employee health and safety and limit travel, most production facilities remain open as they are considered an "Essential Business or Operation" in accordance with the CISA Guidance on IDENTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Hydraulic Institute members make a broad range of products that are used in critical processes across a wide range of end-use industries.  Pumps, motors, drives, valves and seals are key components in essential systems for the US military and industrial base as well in cities and communities across the nation.  From the small components found in medical devices and specialty equipment, to irrigation systems that bring crops to our markets, to the environmental systems that keep our hospitals and data centers operational; and the complex systems that ensure our clean water, sewer and power plants - HI members work to ensure our nation’s essential systems are functioning around the clock.

We understand that the products we manufacture are essential to many municipal, industrial, military, commercial and residential applications around the world.  We are producing and delivering essential products and doing our part to help resolve this current crisis.

      Michael Michaud
      Executive Director, Hydraulic Institute
