HI will provide oversight, guidance, and review drafts of the Drinking Water Pump Station Design and Operation for Pump Efficiency guidance manual and ensure appropriate reference to relevant sections of HI Intellectual Property. The guidebook will focus on wireto- water efficiency improvement; periodic pump efficiency testing and/or continuous real-time efficiency readings; "intelligent" system controls; appropriate application of VFDs; annual energy, cost, and carbon savings associated with efficiency improvements; and tools for utility staff to manage and provide flexibility in pumping systems operation in order to save energy.
