Those familiar with the Hydraulic Institute know that one of its key services to the pump industry is the writing and updating of the ANSI/HI Pump Standards. For many years the Standards were developed and maintained by volunteer committees exclusively comprised of HI's pump manufacturer members. Non-members in the pump industry were invited to provide their input through their participation in the ANSI Canvass review process. In recent years, however, it was determined that in order to develop certain standards, the expertise of engineering consultants, pump users, and other experts was needed. Today, HI members work side by side with representatives from the engineering, pump user and academic communities to develop our standards.
To encourage the broadest possible participation, HI has created a variety of partnership options:
HI Standards Partner Program: Designed with engineering consulting firms in mind, this option is a corporate partnership with participation opportunities for all interested employees. The program offers a significant benefits package which includes complimentary web-based access to the HI Standards library, committee leadership eligibility, a listing on the HI Consultant's Directory, reduced registration fees at HI meetings, discounts on HI publications and education, and a variety of corporate marketing opportunities.
